Been driving the Volkstruck the last couple days and fixing oil leaks as I go. Motor's coming back out tomorrow so I can check out the rear main seal which I think is the last thing leaking. Also pulling the chrome valve covers off and putting the factory covers back on because I've been reseating the rubber seals each night and they continue to leak causing oil to blow up onto the exhaust and burn off creating a nice smoke stream behind me.
I did manage to get some nice photos today though.

Here is a pic of my one owner 1966 with 48,000 original miles.
Too Bad you had to cut it up. Poor Herbie.
i drive a new beetle, but my boyfriend has a 67 squareback and 66 kombi. i've been back and forth on what i want when we start my aircooled project, i'd love a ghia, single or double cab bus, notchback, or a thing, but my heart keeps going back to a beetle. then we'd have a type 1, type 2, and type 3and i'd have a new beetle and old beetle. i'm thinking the 62 to 66 range, i would consider the right 67, but no higher.
