    Factory or non-fac build in

I wonder which options need to build-in in the factory and what can be build-in at the dealer?

I ask this because I want to cancel my Tiguan order in Australia. The 103 TDi with lots of options has a delivery period of 3 to 4 months.

First the dealer mentioned the only factory option was DynAudio, so I canceled that one... Then he mentioned there was still a 3 to 4 months delivery period unless he could "retro-fit" the RNS510....

Can you "retro-fit" a RNS510 with bluetooth and a reversing camera? Is the off-road technology also "retro-fit"?

I think they are cutting corners to close the deal....

    Cheers,
    Buick

You can certainly retro-fit the RNS510 though I haven't heard of one being done with the reversing camera yet (heard of them doing one on a Treg and it took 3 DAYS work to fit). Haven't heard of anybody doing a retro on the off-road yet but I guess it should be possible.

I can also confirm here in AUST...
RNS510 can be retro fitted - but not with RVC... that's according to two dealers, and one VW mechanic workshop.

Which is why I took a 147TSI off the shelf, and will most likely retrofit RNS510. I'd love to be able to retro fit front parking sensors as a higher priority than RVC, as the rear parking sensors I am finding very handy... but didn't want to have to wait 5 months plus for one with Park Assist.
