Update
Met with the guy that had the VAGcom tried all the codes listed here, while some of the codes were accepted they did not enable the AUX input and code 40401 was rejected as an invalid code. So I'm going to put the old radio back in and have the guy scan my old radio for the code. If that code matches any of the ones I already tried then my radio is not AUX compatible witch would mean non of ours are. I did however enable my windows to go up and down via the remote . ON a side note has anyone experianced this issue. if you have the Bass Mid and Treb all the way up and the volume about 1/2 does the sound cut out when there's heavy bass. Mine does and i'm wondering if I got a defective unit .

I believe the bass issue you are having is because of the speed sensitive volume control, i turned mine to zero.

Did you get the radio with the black knobs or silver knobs? I have the silver knobs and haven't noticed any bass flaring.

okay..update, I got an email from ECS this morning...
They said there is nothing we can do because these radios were sold out a while ago and the aux doesnt work because it basically kicks the coding (duh). Anyways he went on saying that he will refund the money and I could keep the radio because it was damaged "during shipping". (Two tabs are bent).

So basically I got a free radio!

Yeah, mine works fine with the center console ipod adapter. It just took me a while to figure out how to turn on shuffle :P (hold down CD until MIX comes up)
Maybe your ipod adapter is shot? Mine was broken until recently, VW replaced it for free

Yes it will work with the arm rest mounted ipod connector. If it is not flashed for it out of the box it can be turned on through vag com.

guys is this radio really better than the one we have in our rabbits the single disc? i mean i can see 6 disc changer would be better is there any other advantages of getting this? i want to get it but my girlfriend thinks i shouldnt waste my money... ha

On top of the six disc feature it also has a little bit better eq built in. With that you can fine tune your sound a little better. Also it is just a better looking radio if you plan on staying oem.
