    Want a little more thump...

Hey guys... I'm fairly good with mechanical stuff but am the first to admit I know jack about audio. I looking at options to improve my wabbit's thump a little but don't want it being a ghetto blaster.

Any recommendations for a basic upgrade (head unit, bass tube or sub, etc.)?

Well I have a MTX 12 inch sub with a alpine amp and a ported box and sometimes it gets over welming, the bass is always on negative 9 and its still bumps too hard. I would go with 1 ten inch if i were you thats what i wish i had, believe me with these little hatches and being that the bass will be in your car litterally rather then separated by a trunk it will be plenty of bass. And depending on how much bass you want you can get a ported box which will bump a bit louder and harder. I have 1 12 inch and with my ported box it sounds like i have 2 12s.

I can't afford and amp now, but when I will buy one I will get a small powered sub and install it under the passenger seat. something like this:

Buy a 10" woofer and make sure it likes small sealed enclosures. Wont be a ghetto blaster but can have some loudness to it..also wont take up much room or power requirements. Also a new hu does worlds for the stock speakers.
