Re: Rabbit sales prices (Only final sales numbers)

I dont recall all the numbers, but I do know this...
My 2 Door 07 Rabbit with Automatic, Mats/Gorilla Gear was $14,000 OTD with my 00' Ford Ranger as a trade in.
I didn't finance, so I couldn't tell you anything about monthly payments...

That's pretty much a fat yes. I put down 3k and have.. decent credit. No trades, payment ended up about 290 a month.

21.1 apr??? is this your first time financing a car? That's steep! did you check your credit score?

    2007 Tornado Red 4dr rabbit

I have a coworker who used to be an auto dealer at the VW place here in memphis... he had a friend that still works there who owed him some favors.

I found my '07 on the VW lot in their used section. It's completely loaded and only missing a sunroof and alloys. only 8800 miles on it :-)

    Their sticker price was $19,995.00

I talked them all the way down to $15,500.00.

They threw in free gap coverage and extended my warranty an extra 10,000 miles as well.

I made it out the door with TTL +fees with 0 downpayment and no trade-in for $17,500.00

    :-D

NICE! They threw in the GAP insurance for me too. Yeah $19+ for a used one seems steep. Let us know if you get a tee shirt in the mail for a used car. Seems like they may have more shirts than cars left.

I don't remember the actual specifics, but here's a bit of it:

    4-door, Tornado Red
    includes auto, sunroof and ESP
    Sticker price: $20,275
"Trade-in": $500 for my old beater (it's not worth that much, I'll say that...)
    Additional down payment: $3,500
I got a co-sign from my parents on the loan (no prior credit established) to lower the APR, and they managed to "find" a 5.9% interest rate that would add the extended warranty for something like $3.50 per month

Monthly payment: $390 for 60 months.

    Got a good deal

I have a limited connection at a dealer. Friend of a friend, who is giving me a deal, but I would imagine is taking some profit. I got a 2008 2dr with A/T. MSRP: $17,200
    Sales Price: $16,000 +tags+tax+title

I'm not complaining, since the 08s have just hit the lots within the past few weeks

2008 2 door, auto, no upgrades

$18,000 out the door, including tax, title, etc.

They seemed pretty unwilling to budge...could have been due to the fact that I was paying in full up front instead of paying them interest through financing. Also, it probably didn't help that they still had a good number of 07's on the lot [as did other dealerships in the area, but this was the only one that had an 08]
