I remember I have seen on here somewhere about the tool you need to turn the parking brake piston while you turn it back into the caliper at the same time.
I spent about 20 minutes searching "brake caliper" "brake piston" "brake tool" "piston tool" etc to no avail.
I had checked my brakes in the past without the tool and by some miracle got the caliper back onto the disk by turning the piston with a water pump pliers. It was pretty nasty but i got it back on and now I want to use the right tool and make sure i have the right tool.
I got the loaner tool set at autzone and was wondering if its the right thing?
I forget what the actual end of the piston looks like when comparing it to the tool ends included in the kit.
Does anyone have a link to a picture of the rear brake piston and maybe a link to the real tool?
I asked the dealer today and they dont sell tools.

It's likely the right tool.

Ok, looks like the kit I rented from autozone is the right thing... maybe we could add this to the how to under brakes.
I paid 55 to rent it, which I will get all of it back if I return it within 90 days.
Very helpful! Thanks! Also found another site that gives more instructions... http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2195524
