Gas cap issues/fix

I think that vw poorly designed the gas cap holder on this car...First i must say the tether has to be just right for the cap to stay on the door. Second why have something sit on your paint just to scratch the hell out of it? Also for people complaining about gas stains on the door too.

After a year of getting really annoyed by this, i stopped filling my gas in jersey, then i wet sanded and buffed out all the scratches in my fuel door....

Part 3 is i bought this, which seems to work with no cel...



Its a stant instant fill gas cap, with just a hole in the middle with a strong flapper. I took off my old gas cap without cutting the tether so i could put it back. Now the r-tards that fill gas in jersey wont screw my car up anymore.
