In my clutch DIY I listed a few places to buy those bridges. I would help you out gladly, but you are a little far away to be worth it lol

What about tomorrow...memorial day. I MIGHT MIGHT MIGHT be able to yank strings. Otherwise I wouldput the car on ramps, use some wood and floor jack and support the engine weight via oil pan

Sorry I was away yesterday. I cannot see the pictures as I don't have Gmail. Post them up on photobucket or send them to my email cmdaffara@hotmail.com

The case cracks most times on the inside and gear oil leaks out. The clutch is then destroyed. From the ones we've delt with in the shop the procedure vw wants us to follow is replace the trans, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing. Essentially you are getting a brand new power train.

Took a look at the pictures. It appears you have a simple flange seal leak. Look at the brake master cylinder and be sure no brake fluid is coming from there. I had a similar leak on mine and when I investigated more, I found the brake master was leaking and dripping on the trans. If you find the brake fluid leaking and you remove the trans to find the clutch is soaked in it, have it towed to VW because now they pay for a new clutch.

WARNING do not put the front wheels on the ground if you remove the axles 100%.
