chipping my rabbit

ok so im trying to get my car a chip
but every time i go they say it isnt working an some other crap
what company is working for you
i tried revo and apr, neither works for me
if u live in the orange county are or la county, any recommendations?

I have the revo chip on my rabbit and i have a magnaflow catback and a test pipe along with a carbonio intake and the revo worked for me i live in orange county i got it done in mission viejo by canyon racer performance.

What year is your rabbit? If it's an '09, an ECU upgrade is not available yet. ECU upgrades are also not available to some '08s.

You won't gain full benefit from the test pipe until you get an ECU upgrade. I say hold off on that.

It's almost a crap shoot against a stock GTI when the rabbit has the 3 main bolt-ons: exhaust, ECU, intake. 2 out of 3 times, I'd say the GTI will win. The reason I bought a rabbit was because you can make it faster than a GTI before you even pay 1/3 of the cost in difference.

But you should still enjoy driving your car more than anything.

With all the bolt-ons, it should be a drivers race between a Rabbit and a stock GTI.

yeah i don't think we can use either of those, bluefin doesn't make one for the 2.5L only the 2.0 gti, kinda sucks thought those would be awesome

Doh! I didn't even consider that you guys have the 2.5L as we don't have that engine version here. It is a shame they don't do it for the 2.5 as I'm really impressed with the difference it made on mine.

Nothing. Ever. Voids. Your. Warranty.

If they can prove that the chip was a direct cause of the fault, they can try to deny your warranty claim. But if you put it back to stock mode, they won't know unless they really try.

Seriously if you are just going to be daily driving, the only ECU flash you should consider is Unitronic. It puts the power gains across the whole band, not just after 3k rpm. 99% of the others move the powerband to pick up after 3k rpm and are considered mostly for race where you need a high revving engine. It just doesnt make sense to get a chip that affects only the rpms above what you would normally be using, race or commute. that should be yur main factor in choice.
