    need help with intake???

i am contemplating between the carbonio short ram and the neuspeed cai. i have read up on it, and people say they love both of them. the guy at the shop out here recommends the neuspeed because he deals with them more. what are your opinions?? i want to get one within the next week but cannot decide between the two....

just to clarify carbonio makes a CAI cold air intake and neuspeed makes a short ram not the other way around

You can do a lot of cosmetic upgrades without going broke: clear/smoked side markers, smoked taillights, short antenna, window tints, debadge .... Just to name a few

haha as long as you install it right you'll fall in love with it the first time you hit 3k rpm in second gear, and third is even better

good call on the intake, i love the carbonio. I would reccomend for your next mods if you havnt done so already, clear/smoked sidemarkers. eyelids(if you like), debagged, springs/coils/cup. chip, exhaust, headers.

.. there is even a group buy for the C2 stage 2 til the end of the month...

    problems installing carbonio

i tried putting my brand new carbonio intake into my 07 rabbit tonight and of course i messed something up... i followed the directions exactly and everything looked perfect until i tried to put the filter on. the carbon fiber tube was only millimeters away from the frame and the filter would not fit on, nor was the filter bracket near the carbon tube... idk wat i did wrong, i guess tomo after school i am going to put the stock intake back on and take it into volkswagen... OOO and my cel went on

Make sure everything is pushed in properly. Particularly, the MAF silicone connectors. It should fit fine inside the hole. For the bracket, I'm not sure which bolt they say to use - but the one I'd use is on the "far" side of that hole, on the outside (fender side) of the hole, very close to the headlight. Bracket goes like this:
