In the owners manual it suggests that you should regularly treat the rubber seals so they stay flexible and prevent things like doors freezing shut. It suggests that you treat them with silicone or another car care product. Then under the note it states that you should not use rubber cleaning or treatment products that contain silicone acids ect. So it both says you should and should not use silicone which I'm a little confused about. And also what are these "other" cleaning products they refer too?

Use spray lubricant silicone on the door seals. Don't use it on anthing else on the interior. It's also safe to use on the window guides and other rubber seals. Don't use it on steering wheel tho.
