Nine years ago, I bought a 1981 VW Rabbit Hatchback. Rebuilt engine. This car has served us well. Her name is Maggie.
It was ok when Maggie needed the minor repair because my mechanic lived in my town. Now my daughter has inherited it and moved to the big city.
She wants to sell it. What type of "Kelly Blue book" is there to calculate the value of this car? The Kelly only lists the last 3 years.
I would appreciate a link. We live in the Pacific Northwest.
KBB should definitely go back farther than 3 years. You can also try NADA.
Off the top of my head, I'd say $1500 in decent condition.
14 Fiesta ST / 93 525i
14 CB500F / 03 CBR954RR
NADA was the site I needed. Thank-you very much.
The high price is 3,025 and low is 1,225.
Why do they take 15% off for a Diesel Engine, I always saw that as a plus.
This car has a Bio-diesel fuel pump. It is not functional without hooking up the special hoses and such.
You've been a great help,
Because: They think it is more costly to operate
Paid about 6K for my rabbit originally 500+ for the diesel engine.
The moment I took it off the lot -500 for diesel engine.
6 months later they were giving the diesel option for free.
but 20 years later, and 240K later.... who had the last laugh..
20 years and no.....tuneups, spark plugs, dist caps, rotors....CIS fuel issues.
What do Divorces, Great Coffee and Cars all have in common?

Replace all of them that you can, 99 percent of flakiness will disappear.
