Yeah, I know that they're all being scooped up. I even told the dealer I
go to, that if any come available, even 2008s and lower, to call me
or let me know immediately. Well, the 2015s have been released, and I
haven't hard a PEEP from them. They're starting to piss me off now...
Makes you wonder who's buying them, new people, or the hypocrites
that cried foul, are taking money, yet buying another one.
The ONLY reason I sold mine back was, it was going to take $3000
to maintain it, to be on the road with no issues for another 2-3 years;
Timing belt, Axle Seals, and other suspension parts + labor. Since the
2009-2014s can't be fixed, they may be banned and I was told will be
made unregisterable. I was not going to take that chance to have it
another year for $3000. So, I sold it back. If it turns out that they will
be allowed on the roads, I will contact VW and tell them what the dealer
told me, jut to sell me another car. I don't really like this TSI, but the
payment is lower, and I am able to do my route on 3/4 tank of gas,
about $33 a day, though gas has gone up .20 cents in the last two
weeks. Diesel has sky-rocketed here to basically, $3.00 a gallon,
-vs- $2.65 for RUG.
I want another diesel, but I am not paying retail, minus any incentives for
a car that sat for two years. $5000 off is just not enough to get me in
a new one that SAT for two years. I paid $19,750 for my 2013 almost
right off lease, so it had low miles, I know it was not new. Plus I ran it
to 243,211 miles on the original serpentine AND timing belt. I figured, if
the serpentine belt has not broken yet, the TB should be good, BUT,
that was all going to be done in the $3000 refresh....
These 2015s going up for sale, are still going to be at their sticker
price, when, if what you said is TRUE, they were driven bi-weekly,
they should be certified then. You can't drive a car bi-weekly for
2-years the sell it as new, even if they only have 10 miles on them.
Issues with this 2015 TSI; radio knob cover was broke, tail light pieces
broken and missing, radio has to be factory reset EVERY week because
media no longer works... I had ZERO issues with my TDI, now got
gremlins with the 2015 TSI.
PLUS, pulse width management (PWM) to the lights? I can't find
the VCDS coding to turn that off, so can't add HIDs without turning
that off. The VCDS coding IS there, but no one will give it. I have
to use a 470uF cap across the relay coil to keep it latched.
I loved my 2013 TDI, and them telling me I won't be able to drive it
due to this emissions scandal, if they lied, they'll hear about it...
