Tiguan Engine Mods and Warranty Question

I was thinking about putting a piggyback system on my Tiguan before I even bought it because I was moving from a 3.2L V6 Audi to the 2.0L VW engine. Everything I've read so far says that I'm at risk of voiding my warranty even if you remove it before a service. Does anyone have any experience with this? I was thinking of getting the Chipwerke piggyback system for the Tiguan. It's easy to attach and remove. Thoughts?

According to Chipwerke, once removed, there are no traces of it being
installed. It uses all your factory harnesses, and does not require
any cutting or splicing, it unplugs and removes. As long as you remove
it before taking it to a dealer, then you're fine.

If the device causes a failure, you're gonna have to play completely
dumb. They basically over-boost your system, that's not totally
safe... They're not worth the money for what they are.

I have one that plugs into the OBDII port, though my warranty has
been expired, it unplugs and no trace. Not a Chipwerke device...

Here are a sample videos of it being installed:
    https://youtu.be/HTjPuNV06rw

    https://youtu.be/bCYxTPy77aI

You see it tells you to locate the boost pressure sensor plugs... This
device changes boost pressure data, and allows more boost. It's totally
not worth $300+ for what it does.

    The second video:
IF you leave all the wires in when you take it in, they'll notice. You would have
to completely remove it, and all the plugged in cables. They'll see the GREY
plug, the one they tell you to use when you take it in... That won't be good
enough, they'll see the grey plug and ask what its for...

    I'd spend a $100.00 on it, not $349!

Yeah, after driving it around, I don't actually think I need the mod but it sure sounded good on paper. On other forums, almost everyone was saying that all the engine techs have to do is flash the ECU and it will show a log that shows the boost changes. I don't want to risk them blaming a warranty issue on a mod. The Chipwerke mod promised to boost my HP from 200 up to 270. That would have been noticeable but I'm older now and, while I miss my '04 R32, I don't have the urge to disappoint guys at the stoplight anymore.

Possibly, but it's not a FLASH, they just use VCDS and look at the data, but
even that can be erased with pulling battery power, or the ECU fuse. If it
does not set a CEL, then there would be nothing to indicate they need to
look. Still, $349.00 is steep for what it does, not worth it. There is more
engine management needed then just over-boosting. If I found one for
    $100.00, I'd give it a shot, but not $349. $180.00 for a FlashZilla, but
Malone Tuning tunes rape you... I have a diablosport InTune, had it for
my Charger, and those are $380, but come with three tunes. The
FlashZilla, okay, is $180, but tunes are $500.00, no Vaseline included,
not even a reach-around... I will never buy one of those, unless I get
$5100.00 from VW for the emissions fix, and I tune it out... Other than
that, Malone can pound salt... I keep asking Diablosport to make one
for VWs, they'd kill Malone in sales, including tunes with the buy.

Sadly, for the Tiguan on the Chipwerke website, they're actually $449, on sale.
