Do you have a vintage VW Beetle convertible in good shape that we could rent for a day (or even just a few hours) on Saturday June 9? We'd like to use it as transportation for our wedding on 6/9 in Washington DC. The two venues (a military base and a marina) are very close together, so we'd be driving less than 2 miles (plus whatever distance to pick up and return to you). Fiance and I have had Volkswagens and Karmann Ghias all our lives, and would really love to have a convertible Beetle for the wedding day! Please drop me a line if you're interested & we can discuss $ and logistics-- thanks!

My friend has the above '71 Super Beetle that he is restoring. We recently became aware the block has a small crack in it (less than 1 inch) in the vicinity of a cylinder, that obviously blows oil. Is there any way to effectively repair/seal this crack, or is the block "history"? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

So back again with ignition troubles. Ive recently replaced the ignition coil on my 1972 Bug. After I did that, it fired right up. It died going down the road after losing power. I made it to a gas station and noticed an oil leak. it wont start now. The ignition coil is good and so is the starter. the plugs are good too. After checking all of those, I tried to start it again and heard a really loud pop. Could my timing be off? And I think I blew a head gasket. Any thoughts?

Thank you.

Driving down the road after replacing my ignition coil, I drastically lost power and had to pull over. When I turn the ignition, it turns the motor but it won't fire up. Do you think it is the spark plugs themselves? I haven't been able to check to see if the ignition coil is getting power still. Hopefully it is. Any suggestions?? Please help, thank you.

Driving in my '72 standard Beetle it shut off. I couldn't get it started again. It wants to start but it seemed that it wasn't getting any fuel. I've put a new fuel pump and filter on. It seems to be sending fuel to the carb. Now I'm thinking that it's an ignition problem. I am going to check the timing and see if that helps. I am also thinking that the ignition coil might be bad or weak. If you have any other thoughts, I am all ears. Thank you.

I recently purchased a 2010 Beetle that appears to be missing some interior parts.
I found and have ordered a bud vase, but in the far forward center console there are two cup-shaped depressions with notched holes... wondering what belongs here. Since I don't have an Owner's Manual, and cannot find clear photos of this online, can someone clue me in?
Also, is there a place to view an Owner's Manual online?
$75 for a printed copy is a bit outside my budget right now, and I would prefer to access it electronically anyway.
