: Where is the Rabbit owner's favorite place to eat?
spillway 08-04-2008, 11:56 AM IHOP
That hit me last night as I was coming home from church. I drove past an IHOP, and I thought to myself, "Well, I hop, so I should probably eat there." But I didn't.
I know, I'm sick.
acgator 08-04-2008, 12:07 PM Well, it used to be this bar called Redder around the corner from my apartment until they closed down, out of the blue, a few weeks ago. They had awesome food (not your typical bar food) and they were one of the first in Chicago to go smoke free (Bonus!!). Use to go there almost every Friday for over two years. Now I have to find a new place.
punkpie 08-04-2008, 12:41 PM I am a fan of Taco Bell. I know it's not very sophisticated, but my other favorite place to eat is an expensive sushi joint so I gotta balance it out.
There is a HOOTERS opening within walking distance of my house... I imagine I will be frequenting it for beer and sports since I don't have cable.
Rumynchik 08-04-2008, 12:57 PM Warminster West Diner. One of the few places that are open 24/7 and still are not smoke-free.

Someday you will make some guy very happy :) lol!
There's a local brewery here called Silver City. Awesome food and beer!
Mi_Panic 08-04-2008, 01:56 PM Depends what I am in the mood for.
I used to hang out at Mario's in Rochester, MI. It was our reg spot.
Now I eat a lot ow BW3, Comos pizza (Ferndale) and Xiamicho's (Mexican in Detroit). I also like "The Woodward" if I am in the area for work
I frequent Old Chicago quite a bit.
kgb_m3 08-04-2008, 02:04 PM At home...

Mi_Panic 08-04-2008, 03:24 PM I frequent Old Chicago quite a bit.
I actually frequent Old Chicago about once a month. I know a girl that works up there. F'ing sweet pepperoni rolls.

Mi_Panic 08-04-2008, 03:32 PM wait is old Chicago a chain, or are we talking about the one in Michigan
wait is old Chicago a chain, or are we talking about the one in Michigan
It is in fact a chain.
Mi_Panic 08-04-2008, 03:37 PM Makes a lot of sense now.
woodbury419 08-04-2008, 03:48 PM Being that I'm residing in "Dela-Where?" lately...I'd have to say you will find me at a WaWa alot! Other than that, back home in Ohio it's Frickers & Rally's!!!
C DUB 08-04-2008, 03:58 PM I used to be a fan of Pizza Schmizza (it started in my hometown and we're good friends with the owners) but there are only a couple Schmizza's that are worth eating at, the Tanasbourne one being the best. If you don't know what I'm talking about.. I'm not surprised. It's a West Coast thing ;)

BTW...the East Coast is the Right coast! ;) j/k I'm from neither coast! I'm from the Midwest!!!
hpowders 08-04-2008, 10:14 PM My Rabbit and I frequent the Bonefish Grill and its delicious Ahi Tuna and Bang Bang Shrimp. We squeeze into parking spaces where no man has gone before!
Thanks to all the money I saved by buying a Rabbit, and giving up a BMW, I no longer have to rely on the kindness of strangers for my meals.

HOO-RAH!!! My bunny fits in many tight squeezes!
phonics_monkey 08-04-2008, 10:24 PM Ians Pizza, Dotty Dumplings Dowry, Qdoba, Taco Bell,
bartsitarski 08-04-2008, 10:33 PM So many places in so many places. In Milwaukee, WI The Palomino or Fuel Cafe is the way to go. In Madison, the Great Dane. In Chicago, any hot dog cart. In Tucson, this little hole in the wall Mexican joint, Juanitos. Should I go on?
spillway 08-05-2008, 09:45 AM I thought IHOP was pretty funny, but there is a local eatery here in OKC that is outstanding, Mimi's Cafe. Great food, superb service, relaxed atmosphere, and good prices. Hard to beat a combo like that.
Eternal)arkness 08-05-2008, 10:18 AM Subway - my #1 stop for food when I'm at work. It's come to the point where I've tried everything on the menu thus far :)
When at home, it's good ol' fashioned cooking by yours truly. Filipino food tastes so good, and it's easy to prepare too!
djwhiplash2001 08-05-2008, 10:22 AM Panera Bread, hands down the best place to eat in the world.
longboardskier 08-05-2008, 03:47 PM Panera Bread, hands down the best place to eat in the world.
I ate there once. Seemed really expensive for what I got.
S3aturnR 08-05-2008, 06:58 PM IHOP
That hit me last night as I was coming home from church. I drove past an IHOP, and I thought to myself, "Well, I hop, so I should probably eat there." But I didn't.

HA!
i'm a sucker for cheap, greasy hamburgers. white castle, telway, hot'n'now, brae's, hunter house, you name it. if it's a tiny little dive serving greasy burgers, i'm likely to stop in and try them at least once.
it's probably a damn good thing that i don't live close to any of those places or i'd be HUGE...
.
phonics_monkey 08-05-2008, 07:12 PM I second Longboard On the Panera call... too much money, and way to much "pretensious" floating around..... it hurts my face.
as for Bart, I like the Great Dane but the last time I went my burger blew, and its turned me off for the time being...... I should give them another chance. Maybe I should just avoid the Fitchburg one and go for the Downtown.
djwhiplash2001 08-05-2008, 08:07 PM Eh, Panera is like the Starbucks of sandwiches. It's a little expensive, but it's great food for bread lovers :p. Everyone should eat there at least once - call me preppy, but I do like it :p.
Cook Out is my favorite fast food, but I don't know how many of you folks would know about that place. Mmm... good stuff.
C DUB 08-05-2008, 09:02 PM Eh, Panera is like the Starbucks of sandwiches. It's a little expensive, but it's great food for bread lovers :p. Everyone should eat there at least once - call me preppy, but I do like it :p....
Ya except Starbucks sucks. They are the winner in nastiest tasting coffee ever. I've ate at Panera once and I LOVED it but please don't compare it to Starbucks.
kiserhd 08-05-2008, 09:08 PM "I'm talking about sitting down, enjoying gourmet meal at a place real special."
Chicago Mafia 08-05-2008, 11:50 PM Honey 1 BBQ in the north side of Chicago. For chain restaurant food, I like Wendy's (and White Castle after a few beers).

Talking about atmosphere, not quality :p. It's got the same "Free WiFi, bring your laptop" vibe.

Dude you cannot beat Telway. We used to drive from Rochester to Telway for lunch when I was in highschool. I love there chili dogs.
Also, go figure, another Michigander. woot
Since we've brought up coffee shops another cool hangout I like is Scooters.
Eternal)arkness 08-06-2008, 08:35 AM Since our town is a s*hit-hole with nothing to do, me ad my friends usually hang out at Dunkin Donuts or Taco Bell and grab stuff to eat/chat. The ricers in town usually hang out at Wendy's, so every now and then we drive in there to get an idea of how pathetic those people are :)
VenomInside 08-06-2008, 08:51 AM Giordano's or China Chef
perndog 08-06-2008, 09:16 AM The Warminster West Diner is also nice, when I am up in that direction. But I usually hang out at Chipoltle with my friends
Mi_Panic 08-06-2008, 09:45 AM In Chicago I love Pequads.
Chicago Mafia 08-06-2008, 09:56 AM In Chicago I love Pequads.
Oh yes, I forgot about that place. Ummm... Pequods!
VenomInside 08-06-2008, 10:01 AM In Chicago I love Pequads.
I live like 3 mins away from there. lol
SudZero 08-06-2008, 10:02 AM My fave place ever (for whoever lives in Jersey) is Chicken or the Egg in Long Beach Island. Me and my friends drive about an hour and half just to get chicken wings!!! Really ridiculous and Wednesdays are wing night ($2.50 per plate) and I have starved myself and still couldn't eat $10 worth of wings.
Rumynchik 08-06-2008, 10:02 AM Also, as far as Philly eating goes, I'd have to say "Slacks Hoagie Shack". At least back in the day when I used to eat meat, their hoagies and steakes are great.
Mi_Panic 08-06-2008, 10:14 AM I live like 3 mins away from there. lol
Ya I used to work right there, ate Peguads once a week at least.
Luki13 08-06-2008, 11:30 AM In my neck of the woods, we have Trooper Thornes Irish Beef House. Awsome pub fare and $1 Killian's, all day, every day...
yousmellthatrabbit 08-06-2008, 12:34 PM hmmmmm....
Chipotle. hands down.,
kiserhd 08-06-2008, 02:51 PM "I'm talking about sitting down, enjoying gourmet meal at a place real special."
I cant believe no one has sided with me on this. Pathetic.
wofastball 08-06-2008, 02:55 PM We used to have a really nice place that was run by an Austrian/Swiss couple. Really nice decor, real tablecloths and cutlery, great wine list, awesome food, and real Old-World atmosphere.
But it closed, alas. Too bad, we did all our Xmas and special occasion suppers there.
djwhiplash2001 08-06-2008, 02:58 PM There's a really nice Italian place in Charlotte - I used to valet there. I brought my ex there once, it would have been like an hour+ wait, but I was wearing a polo with my fraternity letters on it. The manager came up and shook my hand and said back in college he was in the same frat. He sat us down at the next available table, and gave us an employee discount on the food - our total came out to $7! The waitress was worried when she brought us the bill that it wasn't right, but the manager talked to her about it. Still left her a good tip ($20) of course.
Luki13 08-06-2008, 02:59 PM OK. For a really nice place for those special meals, Stouch Tavern in Womelsdorf, PA
S3aturnR 08-06-2008, 03:30 PM hmmmmm....
Chipotle. hands down.,
that's a GREAT place to eat! there's one right by where i work, too. i even like it better than qdoba's...
.
Meandean45 08-06-2008, 04:36 PM The "Crossroads Diner", Bethel, ME. Great food, fresh bread, and the worlds best Coconut Creme Pie!
hpowders 08-06-2008, 06:17 PM Panera Bread, hands down the best place to eat in the world.
Too much salt in their food. However my bunny and I have been known to order the Panera Bread black bean soup served in a sourdough bread-bowl the day after we have our blood pressure checked. And I must say, the branch near me has delicious coffee! Plus, the girls who eat there all seem to be wholesome, model-types. Very attractive!
noonie4 08-06-2008, 09:34 PM "I'm talking about sitting down, enjoying gourmet meal at a place real special."
I'm all about going out and being served..I love to eat!!!
Asia de Cuba in Hollywood, they have amazing everything!! The fried rice with guacamole is a funky combo but very tasty!!
La Casa del Camino K'ya Restaurant in Laguna Beach (we just had our wedding reception there last weekend)--scallops are delish and so is the hearts of romaine salad with candied pecans, cranberries, gorgonzola, and basil dressing. The restaurant is on the rooftop deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean--just beautiful.
phonics_monkey 08-06-2008, 10:08 PM Amelio's Tapas in Chicago, on Ontario st. ( I think)
so good.... they have a walnut goat cheese that made a table of 6 college men/boys into eccentric little girls. it was the best thing ever.
lucian 08-07-2008, 02:18 PM in the kitchen
weatherm 08-07-2008, 03:22 PM Zaxby's! is a great place
djwhiplash2001 08-07-2008, 03:37 PM I've eaten at Zaxby's... not too bad, but the Zaxby's Sauce really really turned me off from the place. Waaaay too salty.
kiserhd 08-07-2008, 04:41 PM The only thing within a reasonable drive from me is Applebee's.
So far I've had a really good meal @ the Cheesecake Factory in Palm Springs.
jjgori 08-07-2008, 04:57 PM Love most any Thai restaurant with some nice ambience, a mean Tom Yum, fresh basil chicken and chilled Singha Beer.
If not, then I would have to settle for Le Bistro in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

The Cheesecake Factory is pretty tasty too, but their menu is a bit overwhelming, and their portions are huge. By the time my meal comes out I'm full of free bread!!
Avocado eggrolls, yumo!

Killer rabbit kairi 08-08-2008, 03:08 AM I cant believe no one has sided with me on this. Pathetic.
For a nice sit down place there's this place in Glendora called Petrillo's ... great Italian place with a nice atmosphere and great waiters. They have lasagna that is to die for... Even have a guy with a violin come by friday nights.
And for that quick bite.. in n out FTW! almost 3 years workin' there and the burgers still taste great!
D4UN7L355 08-08-2008, 04:05 AM when im home in staten island i eat at a place called cal it a wrap. they have a killer balsamic chicken wrap on whole wheat. when im in brooklyn i grab a slice at a place called spumoni gardens. when im in the city i go to bbqs or yoshinoyas in time square. all quick places to eat. o yea. chinatown has a good party chinese food spot called wo hop. good food on the run.
zenith 03-21-2012, 06:29 AM all have their favorite places for foody stuff.......any thing we feel cool and comfortable with tasty food is simply the best i say!!
bubrando 03-21-2012, 04:32 PM yep, as long as it's good. but for Mexican food (my favorite) here in town I love this place Miguel's. it's fantastic.
rabbitjetta 02-02-2013, 08:37 PM Mine would have to be Cheesecake Factory, Ruth's Chris, Eddie Merlots, or cork and cleaver. Really like good food when it comes to food and cars I don't care what the price is I will pay premium price.
