wilytech 04-10-2008, 08:18 PM Looks great!
djwhiplash2001 04-10-2008, 08:27 PM Your calipers are like "Paint me! Paint me!"
Looks hot. Those wheels are great.
kiserhd 04-10-2008, 08:30 PM I painted the carriers already, but I'm waiting until I get stainless lines and actually have to bleed the brakes before I paint the calipers.

I've still got more stuff on the way. You have not seen all of it yet. Plus in a couple of months the good old IRS is gonna kick me a check back for more mods. Sometimes kids actually pay off.

1. Techtonics Tuning Dual Borla exhaust
2. Carbonio intake
3. GTI side skirts
4. GTI brakes fronts currently installed (rears going on this weekend)
5. 17" Anthracite Goals
I have another 5 mods already lined up for round 2. It will just take me a while to get everything together.

in my opinion , your mods are nice and clean, nothing not too much .. my type of mods.. good luck with the rest of them
djwhiplash2001 04-10-2008, 10:09 PM Please say round 2 is this weekend?

Thanks.
I'd love to get my orders so I can find out where I'm getting stationed next. If its stateside I can get my suspension. The wheel gap looks more severe because of the angle of my driveway, but still I'd like to drop it an inch.
The rest of the mods I have planned are subtle but hopefully enough to tie everything together.
kiserhd 04-10-2008, 10:10 PM Please say round 2 is this weekend?
Why is that?
djwhiplash2001 04-10-2008, 10:29 PM So we can see more cool stuff on the bunny :D
kiserhd 04-10-2008, 10:42 PM I doubt I will get anything else by saturday. Earliest I think would be wednesday, and depending on my class schedule I might not get around to it until that weekend.
kitty 04-10-2008, 10:46 PM kitty approves. you know how i feel about OEM.
now just get out of the nosebleed section ;)

Why you gotta bring up sore subjects? You know I had to cancel the suspension that I had to special order already...
It didnt even leave the warehouse (thank god) but because it was a special order I had a 5% restocking fee.
kitty 04-10-2008, 11:00 PM you know what i'm hearing? excuses.
don't drop the ball, be a hero.

Dont mock me or I will smite you and bag my Rabbit. Just so every time you look at your Rabbit with your sweet little coil overs you have a picture flash in your head of my Rabbit touching the ground. :wedgie:
j/k I'm not a big fan of airbags unless its the kits that fit into the control arms or come with custom control arms. That way they actually serve a purpose.
kitty 04-10-2008, 11:23 PM bags are cheating. my car may not be as low as one on bags can be, but i drive mine daily like this :p
kiserhd 04-10-2008, 11:29 PM Yeah they're not very practical either, you lose a lot of storage space because of the compressors and tanks.

What do you think about the Euro headlights? The ones with the gray housing.
phonics_monkey 04-11-2008, 12:56 AM I like them, and i want them for my UG but I'm going with bang for buck.
Many of my first mods will be like yours... (Brakes, exhaust)
but if you have the money, I think it would look real nice.

wow, what a nice way of putting it i suppose :( when it could be spent on them rather...
jaredm1 04-11-2008, 09:35 AM Where did you order the sideskirts from, and was the shipping expensive? I've been shopping around for those, but I would think the shipping would be pretty high.

I like the euro headlights too, but they're kind of expensive...
There's a thread that jaylind started about taking the stock ones apart and painting them...I really like the look, it just sounds like a major pain to accomplish.
I like what you've done so far

Yeah, I'm sorry but there is not a sarcasm smiley, it was meant as a joke.

www.oempl.us 272.10 shipped
They are cheaper from TM Tuning but I do not like their webpage, plus its international shipping and I'm impatient.

How are they installed? Just snap on over the sides now or remove the existing?
I'm pretty clueless on the side skirts

As far as I know, they come with mounting rails that you need to drill holes for.
I believe others here have secured them with double sided tape alone though...

They came with clips and screws for the underside. There are 2 rubber grommets that you pull out and fit the clip into and the sideskirt screws into the clip. It also came with a long plastic mount that you screw to the side of your car. Snotty has a pretty good writeup about it in the mods section. And finally the top edge of the skirt has double stick tape already installed.
