I had 1 and gave it to a friend as it was my most cherished (and only) posession at the time, I was very poor, losing my home and didnt know if I was going to end up in the streets, sleeping in my bunny or if something good was going to happen.

It was an icon for the rest of my life, that ment the world to me, and I gave it away without a hitch because it really did symbolize me and all that I was. Many years passed and I've lost contact with her, but I managed to push hard, remembering that car, and everything it did for me, even helped me pull myself together.

Now I want a hood ornament to turn into a small keepsake. Its centimental value, which is why I am offering so much and I really am serious about finding one.

Sorry for the off-topic reply, but rainhopper, what on earth is that avatar. All I have gathered is a horse with hair playing a guitar. I think I am looking at the back of the horse, and I am not sure which is the leg and which is the tail. If that is what they are. I am sorry Ive nothing better to spend my time on. lol

Interesting hood ornament. I do not believe that to be a VW part (at least not stock) mainly because I have never seen one. Doesn't mean that they don't exist. Perhaps it was a fun dealer toy (if you will) kinda like the vase option w/ flower for the New Beetles. Or, it could be an after market item from a company that makes trinkets. No useful information, but best of luck with your search.

I get that it was rare, b ut there are bunnies out there with these, you can make a quick few bucks
