Hi Folks,

I own a VW Tiguan, 2009. It has a music system with navigation. However, it does not have a bluetooth integrated. Appreciate if someone helps me with my below queries -

1. What bluetooth kit should I buy? Can that be integrated with my nav?
2. Where to buy from?
3. Is there an alternative than integrating with my nav?

Any other input would also be helpful.

Many Thanks

There are options that integrate with the vehicle in that it will mute the radio. Parrot makes a bluetooth kit that is very popular. If you go with an OEM bluetooth system such as Volk-L, it will be completely hidden and will utilize your steering wheel button as an answer button. However, this system requires you to dial through your phone and it will go through the radio and speakers.

Conclusion: Volk-L is OEM retrofit kit and is very simplistic and basic system that mutes your radio and utilizes your steering wheel buttons. Requires dealer installation and coding

Parrot and other bluetooth systems require aftermarket components installed and hacked into your cars wiring. Does not utilize factory buttons and cost similar to OEM.

You can retrofit a UHV highline premium OEM bluetooth module and harness ifyou are VERY
handy and knowledgeable about VW's. This is the most expensive way to go and will have phonebook options and go through your navigation with full options. Don't expect dealers to do this retrofit as most dealers will not attempt.
