Hey all. Just curious if any of you are kinda disappointed in your cc's ac. It is set right and charged. Car only has 20k on it and seems to take forever to completely cool the interior. It is cold but just seems not up to the interior volume.
Seems you have to run on speed 3 just to get it cooled to any rate. In Atlanta it's only been in the 80's and I'm kind of concerned that in the actual summer months it will not be good.

Do you have the recirculation on when using the a/c?

Oh yes. Living in Georgia makes you a master of the ac

Living in Florida gives you the same mastery... after my Jeep AC compressor started dying I knew how important AC is here. My CC cools nice but noticed yesterday that it took a looooong time to start getting cool. Where as my GF's Jeep Liberty is freezing in a couple minutes and would form icicles if you left it too cold.
My biggest GRIPE of the CC AC is the vents. The far left driver's side dash vent can't even be directed lower then shoulder height or angled in further then the left side of the steering wheel. Was this meant to cool the rear passenger sitting behind the driver? None of the vents can be directed down towards your body, they seem to just be able to blow at your shoulders or head. That was disappointing but hopefully not as bad as I expect when summer heat arrives.

I know the feeling. The seats basically turn into a sauna and sweat you out. Gonna be an interesting summer.

Luckily I use my sunshade all the time and have the heaviest tints made legal here in South Florida. I remember feeling those days when the car was hot and took what seemed like forever to get cool. Let's just say its global warming. But the temperature of the car before entering and it begins cooling is just as important as how much power is drained from the A/C compressor due to heavy acceleration. Sometimes it seems like the first few minutes is just to get the hot air out, windows rolled all the way down, circulation open, and get the car up to 50+ and then close it all up. That's my secret.

I have a 2012 r line and went in for courtesy check. I was inquiring for DSG software update but instead they updated the climate control software. I don't know the difference. i haven"t use my ac, its a little chilly here still in southern california. also perform what the manual says. turn the climate control to the left(max ac) turn on the ac (should automatic) and then turn the fan control to #3, this should put the ac into recirc mode. Run it for a few minutes then turn back the recirc button to off (or normal/fresh) mode.
