My 2010 Tiguan is my first VW, so I am really unfamiliar with what the scheduled maintenance cost.

What have people been paying for their 40,000 mile service? I am in the North Eastern USA. I'm only at 16,500 miles, but I like to be prepared and budget accordingly.

Thanks!

U have quite some time left.. Lol.. Maybe another year..or 2.. But dealership wanted 650 for mine.. Another dealership wanted 550.. I bought the kit on dbctuning.com for 240.. Added ngk spark plugs and new wipers for like 240.. and did it myself thanks to some diy's and some of the members on the forum.. Saved me 300-400.. I also have a rabbit.. So not sure the diff in pricing.

Haha, yeah I have plenty of time... Just more curious than anything. Dang, $640 is pretty steep. Do they all start costing around that much, every 10,000?

I paid between $600 and $650 iirc. The major services are at 40,000 mile intervals. Also remember that some service items are time based regardless of mileage. Some items should be serviced every 24 months.
