Are there any folks here with experiences with Fiat 124 cars? I owned two, but many years ago prior to being able to do anything myself other than maybe oil changes. I loved the cars, but could never keep them running. If, with the help of folks here on the board, I can successfully get an '82 rabbit running, maintain it, and fix it, is doing the same with a 124 within my reach now? I know it has a much more complicated engine (double overhead cam w/ shim adjustments for the valves)...

Any thoughts? I'd love to pick one up.. the convertible Rabbit as my summer toy, and the 124 for my wife..

Sure why not? Gas engine is a gas engine. 2 cams one intake one exhaust. They did make a few other Fiats that might be better. But are a kool car. There maybe other forums (Fiat) better than here for help. But books and the net are your friend.
