Hi I have a hard knock problem whit a Tiguan MY2011, the car is manufactured 2011-02 and is equipped whit Rear camera whit lines, Bluetooth (5K0 035 730 B), MDI (5N0 035 342 D) and Aux-In.

Now, I code and install RNS510 but suddenly the navigation routing MFD display started to not show the correct turns and general information that should be in MFD. Some of the information takes a long time to display, some of the arrow turns just stick in the display way past the actual turn, some of the information simply does not show up at all, just an arrow is shown.

I manage to find out that the compass must be deactivaded and unpluggd but where do I find this module? And where is it located in VCDS? I lookt under CAN-GATEWAY but did not find this.

Should be under "vehicle position detection." I'm pretty sure the RNS system has the compass built into it unlike other radios...so i'm assuming this is why you need to deactivate the OEM one.

Due I dont have my own VCDS I can not test this right now, (I guess you mean that "vehicle position detection" should be in VCDS)

Yes I really think this is the problem and each packet "fighting" to get their messages in the MFD at the same time and causing this MFD to be clogged and unresponsive. Becuase sometime Navi info goes thru and it gets stuck. Then 5minutes later same problem. But I dont have a clue where to find this "Position Sensor" or compass module or what to call it. Dont have any idea how it looks eather.

I read on other forum sites that Passat CC have had the same problem and when using only VCDS it did not solve the problem first after disconnecting the module it was solved.

Ill be honest i've never needed to touch the compass module on a tiguan. On passat it's near the right tail lamp and on jetta it's in the trunk roof. The volkswagen service information is down today for site repair so I can't even look it up for you.

If someone else can't chime in before tomorrow ill look it up at work and post where it is.

Remove the strip of plastic at the rear of the hatch, the compass module should be visible within about 6" of the edge.

Wow thx, I will have a look as soon I get hold of the VCDS guy. Appriciate it much, will report if this was the module causing the "commincation" problem whit MFD.

Ok so it's in the headliner then, right?

Thank you ;)

Big thanks, removing it did fix the problem.
