What size are the Torx that I need? I think there are 8 of them and 2 big ones.

Thanks ahead of time.

2010 Tiguan btw

:W: to the forum Richard. Now, I don't want you to think I'm a smart a$$, but you can pick up a set of 6 torx for a very reasonable price that will serve you well with future work when the need arises. If you plan on doing other work on your Tig, they will pay for themselves in no time. As a matter-of-fact, they'll be paid for right after you change your own oil.

All the best :).

I have plenty of small torx to get out the small ones. I need to know what size the two big bolts are as I do not have that one.

If it is similar to the rest of the models it should just be a bunch of the same size torx screws. Are you sure the larger ones are not triple squares?

There are two large Torx bolts at the rear. Can't recall the size as have both a large and small set and just grab the one that fits. I am due for an oil change in 1500KM. I can tell you then. All the ones up the sides are screws.

Thanks for the replies. I am just waiting on the oil and filter to come in the mail and should be doing the change. I've done it once before but some reason I do not have the large torx any more. I imagine I'll change mine before you but will check back just incase I don't.

Thanks
