Hello all: Have had our 2009 cc with 4200miles on it for two weeks or so. Love it so far. I have a question though. When I open the drivers door in the quiet of our garage I hear a short humming noise for a few seconds similar to the noise of the power seat but it's not. It isn't the windows dropping to save the seals either, it's a different, longer noise. BUT it won't happen again if I close then re open the door. It takes 15 minutes wait till it will happen again and it only happens on the drivers door. I speculated it was the fuel system pressurizing in anticipation of a start since the noise sounds like it comes from the trunk floor but I relieved the pressure by opening the tank then re sealing it and reopening the door and no noise so I guess it's not the fuel system. Of course I couldn't get the tech at the dealer to hear it standing outside near the road. Any insights??

The fuel pump priming relay. It primes the fuel system so the engine starts faster. You opened the tank venting hte vapors, you didn't open the fuel rail, however. It only does this prime once every 20 minutes or so, too.
