Im new to vwownersclub and I found this site searching for an answer to a problem I have.
Im trying to find out how to use the external input that is factory installed in my glove box. I read the manual and it said to hold down the cd button and that will turn on the aux input. I tried that and it just turns on the cd mix option. While i was searching on the web for a solution, I read some people said to hit the cd button twice, so I tried that, no dice. I also read some people had a problem with the aux input after having there battery replaced. I had some work done on my jetta and the battery was disconnected. Im not sure if thats the problem and something was reset since I never used the input before that. I have the in-dash 6 disk changer and satalite. If anyone can help it would be great. Its driving me nuts. I hope im asking in the right place since this is my first time on this site,

When you want to use the aux port, make sure your in CD mode first, then, once your in CD mode, hit the CD button once again (dont hold it, just hit it), and it should bring you to the aux mode. If not, then there is a problem with the coding of either the radio and/or your car. And in that case, the dealer has to solve that problem.
