but to answer ur question, the 3gs has better plan options..but the 4 is just a better phone.

If you are sure you want an iPhone then no question about it, the iPhone 4 is superior to the 3GS in just about every way. My wife has a 3GS and I have a 4, and while the 3GS is nice the 4 is a better phone by a good margin.

If you are interested in an Android phone, the only really good option on AT&T at the moment is the Samsung Galaxy S (I can't recall at the moment what the AT&T version is called).

If you don't mind waiting a bit there will most likely be other good Android phones coming to AT&T. There will also be Windows Phone 7 devices coming very soon as well.

Get the iPhone 4. The Retina Display is simply amazing, and worth the upgrade. The camera is also a very nice update from the 3GS.

the ATT version is called the Captivate, my sister has it and it's pretty neat. has a great screen resolution and i believe it has a 1ghz processor as well.

400 u must hadto buy it when u didn't have a upgrade. Smh.

It was 400 without new contract but I got an otter box and apple care for 60... The early upgrade was December of next year
