I am new to the VW forum community and I am confident that you people will be able to help guide me in the direction to help make my car quick and lookin cool. So every idea you got please share em with me!!

it really depends on what direction you want to take your car in. pictures would definitely help so we can see what you're working with. the way i did it with my 92 was looking through google pictures and vortex pictures and getting ideas of what i liked and didn't like. ultimately i decided that mechanics were more important than appearances. why have a great looking car that smokes and stutters? sure the paint is great, the wheels are slick, but it doesn't run? not very practical in my opinion unless it's strictly a driveway car.

Well I would rather have ideas on how I should make my rabbit fast. Then I will start on making it looker better.
unless it's strictly a driveway car.

More information about the car would really help in getting suggestions. What type of engine does it have 8v, 16v, diesel? What condition is the chassis, engine, etc, in? How many miles are on the engine and chassis? If the car in good running condition already with all maintenance taken care of, or does it need work to get it back in shape?
A great source of info about all things VW is VWVortex ( www.vwvortex.com ). While it may not be the friendliest place sometimes, there is a wealth of information there.

if you have the 8 valve i suggest you upgrade to digifant 2, $100 bucks and you're getting much better fuel mapping which serves for a slight boost in power also. throw on a pacesetter exhaust and headers system and you're in business. there are tons of places online that have different prices so i'd look around thoroughly. i don't remember where but i found the exhaust for $220, and headers for $150.

ok thats a good start thnx alot bubrando. My 1991 Rabbit is in very good shape.black exterior and gray interior. No rust at all, the car has been very well taken care of and needs no maintanence on the engine whatsoever. It currently has 160,000 miles on it. It is 8V and I allready installed a new header system. Thank alot for the ideas so far and I would appreciate if anyone else can let me know of more ideas. Thank you again!
