I cant decide what color rabbit i want to buy. Im mostly looking into the darker colors such as gray and black.

I understand that black is the hardest to maintain, but keeping it clean also makes it the sexiest of them all. The united gray color is just a little less cool, but wont be such a pain to maintain and keep looking great in between washes.

Oh and another reason why i prefer darker colors like black is so that the rub strips wont be such an eye sore.. haha lastly i live in Nevada so red isnt an option.. if it was though, i'd know what i would get:cool:

but yeah, your input would be very much appreciated!

rub strips an eyesore?? psh. i think they add character.

if you wanna go dark then UG is the winner.

UG is nice but for dark, black is the best IMO.

I have Shadow Blue, which I love, but is a bit prone to water spotting. Black is supposed to be worse, but, when they are clean and waxed they look like a million bucks.

My first car was a black GTi. I loved the way it looked but it was not worth the amount of effort to keep it clean. I swear, someone down the street might sneeze violently, and it would stir up dust and my car would look dirty. I now have a United Grey rabbit and I LOVE it. It's understatedly sexy. You can always get other black stuff like rims and window tint if you're that hung up on black. But United Grey is so much less work.

hmm. i see, i see. haha UG sounds pretty appealing in the fact that its still a cool color, but the fact that many people have it is, microscoplicly bothersome.. but i wouldnt really mind haha. you think dark tint, black rims with red accents would look good on UG-qmark-

but yeah, black is the ultimate sexy when clean. so.. still not sure :<

ps. im planning on buying an 09 model.. does anyone know why they discontinued red
and if the arm rest is worth the money. haha thanks for all your input!

I have black and i love it when its clean
it just loves dust though, so keeping maybe a microfiber towel
or a duster is good to have in your car.
but you have to be very careful, it scratches/swirls easily as well..
but yeah other than that i love black..

as for 09's ive seen candy white ones as well.

i was told that people in the states were licking the beautiful paint, which was leading to isolated cases of lead poisoning... ;)

of course the armrest is worth the money, unless you don't have an arm on that side of your body, even so, it's an excellent place to stash small stuff and have easy access to it, plus it extends and lock/clicks in a few opening positions...

oh and by the way, to me CW is the classiest of all...

i don't see why not, if you are talking about interior it should look good, red accents of course, for the same reason i'm not in to red seat or red shoes. the red would be there to separate the background...

I had the same options when I bought mine and I stuck with United Gray. It's the best Rabbit color for hiding dirt, scratches, and those unsightly rub strips (sorry, not a fan of them either). Keep in mind that the rub strips are a matte finish, and the shiny black paint just ends up contrasting with it at most angles. I also think my Rabbit looks great in the winter time, even with all the salt and crap caked on from the roads. Any other color and you've got an ugly mess. Plus I think gray stands out a lot more than black (everyone and their mom wants a black car).

If you get the two door, I would go for the black due to the rub strips. I personally love the United Grey and am really happy I bought that. I get a lot of compliments on the color from friends and strangers alike.

As a side note, you should be able to get some color coordinated rub strips if you do some looking around or talk to the dealer since they are on the 4 doors and GTIs as well if you really want UG on a 2 door and do not like the black rub strips.

As many silver cars there are out on the road, I really love the Reflex Silver colour. It hides water-spots, and dust, and when it's clean, and the sun is shining on it, it's so freakin' bright-hawt, you can hardly look at it without burning out your retinas.

Oh, and :W: to the ROC!

Eyesore?

Try retro. If it looked good on a classic Scirocco, it looks good on a new Rabbit.

i have candy white. when my car is washed it is probably the sexiest car ever, my taillights look like there tinted sorta cuz of the white, also yea my car really sticks out at night and it takes a llong time for it to get dirty, i had the option to choose from UG or CW cuz those were the only ones they had in stick shift but i ended up choosing candy white cuz i love white cars, UG with a black setup like black rims, tints and smoked tails is probably the sexiest setup you can do besides white and black ;-)
