Wooot! yeah, Im selling one if you guys are interested. Haha. its really easy to learn how to play it. Trust me, me and guitar go wayy back and I never really had the passion but for the uke it was a different story! I learned 5 songs in 2 weeks! haha! when i was trying to learn how to play the guitar it took me 1 week to get the intro of "Tears in heaven" by Eric Clapton.
So far, in one month of on and off playing the ukulele I've learned:
So Wonderful by Devotion
Apologize by One Republic
Waiting in vain by Bob Marley
Cant help falling in love by i dont know which one! lol alot of ppl sang it
Bed by J.Holiday
Im yours by Jason Mraz
The Break up song by Chris Ramos
It might be you by Stephen Bishop or Kai
Somewhere over the rainbow by Ize
What you got by Colby O'donis
and lots more!
I dont know if you guys know any of 'em. Haha!
xtremeoid 01-15-2009, 08:06 PM what do you want for it
AIGTIGUY 01-15-2009, 08:17 PM No Uke, but a little guitar. I just got my grandads 1928 national, steel bodied dobro. AWESOME. It's all worn on the front and scrathed on the back, from his belt buckle I suppose. I need to string it up and play it but I am afraid to touch it. It is priceless. He died in 1996 so it really does need strings.

I think Elvis first sang it, and I know UB40 did a remake.
foobunny 01-15-2009, 08:25 PM i have a friend who can play ukelele crazy good. he taught me just a bit, so i can play a very limited amount. the guy recently got an electric one...just gonna say that metallica sounds a bit odd on an electric ukelele lulz
Bunnicula 01-15-2009, 08:30 PM I got it brand new but dint really like the electric sound just not my type. I like the acoustic style/sound better. I got for $179.99 + shipping. Im trying to get rid of it for $160 + shipping. It comes with a gig bag. Mind you this gig bag isnt any ordinary cheap gig bag, its deluxe padded gig bag. I think I like the gig bag more than the uke. But this uke is a Acoustic-Electric with a plug-in. Its a good starter Uke for any beginner and a good uke to use if you ever play at any events since its electric as well. It is a soprano uke at 22.9". If you don't have a tuner, my friend has one for 20$ its basically new KORG CA-40 chromatic tuner. ^_^ let me know if you're still interested. When/if I sell this uke ill probably get something like a kala spruce-top for 124. about a step down from the Applause im selling.
P.S. I did throw in a free upgrade of the strings to GHS black nylon strings. They're awesome! makes a 30$ uke sound like a 300$ uke. lol. no lie.
If you ask me to rate it?
Design: 9.5
Acoustic sound: 8..really close to 9
Electric sound [plugged into an amp]: 8
Durability: 8
Gig bag: 10 :)

true id leave those songs to electric guitars. but it may sound better on a high end electric uke.
punkpie 01-15-2009, 08:34 PM is that an Ovation?

Yes ma'am!

I will, but it's hard to remove the strings he stung, and played. I think I was there the last time he played. He was old, but his death was sudden. He was only 86, what gives? Grandma is still around. She will be 100 on feb. 1st. Maybe I will restring it and play for her. She still picks a little banjo, sounds like a party to me. A1

She got her license in 1927, long before automatics were thought of. I am sure she could still manage. Her current ride is a 1995 Caddy STS.
pistolita 01-15-2009, 09:53 PM i used to play the ukulele in high school. i took a course, and my friends and i always played it for fun. what brand did you get? Usually Kamakas are the best.
wolfen 01-15-2009, 11:17 PM Usually Kamakas are the best.
Kamakas? You must be from Hawaii...
I went to mid school with Israel K.
I met Jake sometime after he graduated from high school at his mom's house, good guy.
His brother Bruce is talented too.
His mom and aunt are friends of mine.
Small island...
